Ausserdem gibt es inzwischen einige neue z.T. interessante Updates
und Patches:
1) MS Office SR2-B:

Hier sind offensichtlich noch einige Y2K Fixes eingeflossen denn MS schreibt
auf
der Infoseite zum SR2-B:
"Wichtig: Wenn Sie Office 97 SR-2 bereits installiert haben, sollten Sie
nur
die folgenden beiden Jahr-2000-Updates fuer Outlook und Microsoft Jet 3.5 installieren
..."
Wer diese Programme nicht benutzt kann vermutlich bedenkenlos mit dem SR2 leben
:)
2) CONFIG.NLM von Novell, Tools das SYS:SYSTEM/CONFIG.TXT erstellt mit vielen

Die neue Version protokolliert einige neue NW5 Parameter, ist auf jeden Fall
Y2K faehig
(naja ob die aelteren Versionen nicht mehr laufen bezweifel ich) und es besteht
nicht
mehr die Gefahr eines ABENDS beim Aufruf mit dem Parameter /s auf NW5, das ist
mir
schon mehrfach passiert :(
3) Den Onsite Admin Pro v1.0 gibt wieder als Trial Version:

4) ZENworks 2 Patch 1:

Dieser Patch behebt das Problem das beim Klicken auf "Range of day"
der 01.01.70 anzeigt wird wenn der Tag der Samstag im Monat ist (z.B. der 1.1.00).
Das ZENworks 2 Starter Pack wird diesen Fix enthalten.
5) ZENworks 1 Patch 3:

Dieser Patch behebt die folgenden Probleme (falls sie aufgetreten sind, ausser
Punkt 11 habe ich noch keinen Fehler festgestellt):
"1. Attempt to update a file in use on Windows NT workstation fails if
user is not member of
Administrators group.
2. Apps marked Force run, Run once, and Prompt distribution, the user is repeatedly
prompted to
re-run the application if the prompt is declined.
3. NAL GPF on Windows 95/98 if Macro has more than 128 characters.
4. GPF when distributing a registry key with no value, Windows 3.x only.
5. Search Drive in Drive/Ports fails.
6. Remote Control, Ctrl-alt-del not possible with Unisys Aquanta DX.
7. ZENRC32.exe and Invalid Page Fault in Module WM95API.DLL.
8. "Run Only Allowed Windows Application" fails if icon is delivered
to the desktop.
9. Windows 98 GPF/hang when exiting Application Explorer window.
10. Windows NT Start Menu shows Common applications when registry is set not
to show them.
11. Environment variables set in pre-launch script of an Application object
are not set for the
application executed."

7) Windows NT4 Service Pack 6 Hot Fix:

Dieser Hotfix soll die Probleme mit der WINSOCK und z.B. Lotus Notes beheben,

Bei Mirc*soft scheint man ueber den Webserver ohne Internet Explorer 5 keine

mehr zu bekommen (langsam faellt einem da echt nix mehr zu ein):

(NW5 SN muss angegeben werden), ich wuerde das aber in keinem vorhandenen Netz
testen :-)
