nach langer Zeit nochmal die aktuellen Infos:
- Novells neuer CEO heisst Jack Messman!

- Mercury/32 (Windowsversion des Freeware Mailservers) gibt es
jetzt in der Version 3.21, neue Features sind u.a.:
- Support for RBL and ORBS queries, also Spamfilter

- Eine neues PMAIL u.a. mit anderem Design wird es bald geben.
PM kann dann Attachments ohne vorheriges speichern forwarden!
- NAI McAfee VirusScan/Netshield:
Fuer Windows und Netware ist die Engineversion 4.1.40 aktuell
(Novell Certified), bis jetzt hatte ich keine Probleme damit!

Ich empfehle zu den Clients die u.U. folgenden Hotfixes:
- 236341.EXE: Updated LOGINW32.DLL for Novell Client 4.8
resolves a problem when logging on at workstation or NT
Server console, Novell login GUI appears for several seconds
then disappears.
- 242630.exe: NOVNPNT.DLL for W2k reboot on pwd change
- 244070.EXE: NDPPNT.DLL update for Novell Client 4.8 (??)
- 250903.EXE: Updated NWSPOOL.DLL for 4.8 & 4.71 client (??)
- 234860a.exe: NWFS update for NT/2000 client
Error on server console Station X (task XX) has timed out on
its op-lock (type = 2)
- 253829.EXE: Updated NWWS2NDS.DLL for 4.8/4.71/3.3/3.21 (??)
! - 244121.EXE: ZENworks Roaming profiles are not created on
German Win2000 workstation (!!!)
- 257183.EXE: Win9x V3.3ger & garbled broadcast message display
diese weiteren Fixes/Utils sehen ebenfalls sehr interessant aus:
- OS5PT2A.EXE: Updated Server.exe to resolve PIII Issue, ! DOKU !
- 4pent.exe: Update for NetWare 5.1 on a Pentium 4 server.
- edit1a.exe: EDIT.NLM with Search feature for NW5.0 and 5.1.
- nccutil5.exe: The Novell Client Config Utilities (NCC Utils)

Fixes nur wenn noetig und nach vorherigem Test installieren!
Ich arbeite z.Zt. an einer automatischen W2k Installation mit
dem Client 4.8 (mit den Fixes, automatischen
Anwendungsinstallationen wie z.B. Office 2000, IE55, Faxware
etc.). Ich ueberlege mir noch, in wieweit ich dazu Doku schreibe.
Vielleicht koennt Ihr mir ein Feedback oder Tips geben (NDPS?).
